Out of College, into Your Office

The class of 2021 has hit the job market, running through a pandemic-ridden world, and you want them on your payroll, showing their recently-learned skills. How do you get these recent graduates to you, though?  A good recruiting strategy needs to be put in place, and we have some tips on how to get to those recent grads, and get them from the Cap and Gown towards your offices.

Posting your job listing through Indeed, Glassdoor, Handshake, and other online-hiring sites is the first step to getting to these graduates, as most of their job searches will be online. Even if your posting is on your website, share it on these other sites, as it will increase the number of potential applicants that you will find.

Next, consider your work environment. How did you business handle the pandemic? Did you allow work from home? In the last year, this is what most of the students have been doing. Let them know that working from home, or working remotely, is available to them, and what accommodations your business can make for them.

One last way to truly entice these new college grads to come to your company is benefits. As the climate has changes for employees, and the hiring crisis continues, one sure-fire way to get these grads in your office is to offer competitive benefits. Health care, dental plans, technology allowances, and more are some example of what these bright individuals will be looking for,

Sharing your listing online, and allowing your employees to work from home, will reach towards the recent graduates the most, as Cuspers and Gen Z (the generations that are graduating) spend most of their time behind a laptop, tablet, or phone screen. This is how they will work the best.
